Basically, you may host a wedding at Villa Adriana during your use stay.  You simply need to comply with our requirements, designed to protect the property.  We DO NOT ALLOW THE USE OF VILLA ADRIANA FOR WEDDINGS AND SPECIAL EVENTS WITHOUT USING LICENSED AND INSURED VENDORS.  ALL SPECIAL EVENTS MUST BE APPROVED BY THE OWNER OF THE PROPERTY AND BE CONDUCTED UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF OUR EVENT COORDINATOR.

Doing Our Best to Meet Each Others Expectations

In order to make sure our guests have the wedding of their dreams and to ensure we can meet those expectations and take care of not only your needs but ours as well, we have established five criteria which guide us in allowing you to host your wedding during your stay at my family home:
  1. We need to protect my family home from ANY possibility of damage.  Access to the interior of the home is restricted during the reception and we will have staffing present to ensure compliance with all requirements and agreements;
  2. We need to minimize any risks of injury to your Guests (safety, food poisoning, etc.).  Therefore we require ALL vendors be properly licensed and insured.  We also need to know, for your sake, that you have not forgotten anything;
  3. Noone knows my property as well as my event coordinator and I do.  A wedding is not an event where things can be overlooked or forgotten;
  4. We need to be ensure the distribution of alcoholic beverages is both legally correct and morally responsible.  No underage minors will be served.  NO EXCEPTIONS.  Overserving adults is not also not permitted.  Our bartenders to not charge for serving your alcohol to your guests.  You provide the alcohol, and our bartenders and servers will serve the drinks to your guests;
  5. We will review your plans to ensure the wedding photos and any photos which can go viral on the internet will be that of an elegant setting.  We are quite proud of our repution and the artistry and elegance of Villa Adriana.  Therefore, we require all weddings to be professionally decorated and either planned and or supervised by Susan Stalnaker and her staff; and
  6. We need to comply with Hillsborough County noise ordinances and the requirements of the Fire Marshal (i.e. no part of the reception cooking and heating may be performed inside the home - this is a resididence, and is licensed with the State of Florida to be used as a Hotel for Vacation Rentals.  Villa Adriana does not have a Restaurant License).

So, after reading that you should realize we price the use of the property for Weddings and Special Events differently.  Please do not assume we are merely taking advantage of the fact that you are having a wedding.  All the wedding services my approved vendors and planners provide are priced fairly and I assure you, you will have a Luxurious Wedding at my home were to to select it.  You decide what you're looking for and if we can provide it, we would be delighted.
